In this tutorial we’ll
be showing how to add color to Black and White Image by using Adjustment
Layers.
We will use very simple image
with some colors and absence of background .
We also can experiment
with color combinations and don't need to worry about unnatural
color as the image is a postcard .

Add
colour to skin
|

- Open the restored image
- Use the Pen
Tool (L) to create Paths around
the image;
- Create Selection
from the path and layer from selected (Cntl-J)

|

- Make a selection with the Lasso
Tool ;
- Use Feather
Selection (Alt+Ctrl+D)
to soften your adjustment area ( Feather radius = 22 px ):
- Create layer from selected (Cntl-J)
and name layers " Skin ".

- Click on the Foreground color swatch
near the bottom of the Tools Palette:
R = 247;
G = 207;
B = 182.
- Use Hue
Saturation to
adjust skin tone:
Image –
Adjustment – Hue Saturation
- Select
the Colorize option:
    Hue :  
 24:
Saturation 25:
Lightness :
